What is iFundie?
iFundie is a fundraising platform for Entertainers. Through our platform, Entertainers such as Musicians, Film Creators, Fashion Designers, Media Producers, Dancers, and anyone else related to Entertainment are able to raise money directly from their fan base. In exchange, Entertainers give their contributors exclusive benefits and perks in their endeavors.
Is this an investment?
Nope, sure isn't. In fact, SEC regulations make sure we stay far away from describing iFundie in that way. Consider us more like a marketplace to pre-order goods or services combined with a way to make contributions towards a cause.
Do you take a stake in the projects on you site?
Absolutely not. We're just a platform for your projects to happen. Just like Amazon is a platform for goods, we just provide the place for it to happen.
Why only the Entertainment industry?
For focus. We know this platform will be a great resource for other people, but we want to make sure we stay focused. We'll be able to provide our users with better targeted services, which will help us help you. Plus, to be frank, we love Entertainment!
I'm a non-profit, can I also use iFundie to raise funds?
Unfortunately, the short answer is no. However, we're more than up for projects being tied to charities and non-profits, in fact, we encourage it! But keep in mind that it has to be someone or something that is related to Entertainment in order to be approved.
How can I create a project?
It's simple! Just sign up for an account and tell us about your project. After a short review from us, you'll be able to start your project in no time.
My project just ended. When do I get my Funds?
Almost right away. Your money will be deposited directly into your Amazon account after fees are deducted.
My project didn't reach it's funding goal on time, what happens next?
All money that you have raised so far should be directly deposited into your payments account. However, be sure that before actually beginning a project you pick attainable goals. This helps encourage supporters to give contributions as they see you moving towards achieving your target goal.
I just Funded a project but my credit card wasn't charged. When will I be charged?
At the end of the project all contributors are charged at one time for a project. Sit tight, and make sure you're to be charged when the project you contributed to ends.
How can I contribute to a project?
Only through credit card. We use Amazon to take care of payments for us and all major credit cards are accepted through Amazon.
How can I be sure a project is legitimate?
Great question! If you're worried about a project's legitimacy, it may require you doing a little due diligence. Google them, check their Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace pages to confirm they're serious about connecting with you. Send them a message. While we can't make any assurances that an Entertainer delivers on their promises, we'll do all that we can to resolve situations of dispute between parties.
